Coleman was from Lancashire and born in the town of Blackpool. She studied at Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A grades for her A-Levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman admitted that she regretted not having had a typical university experiences. Coleman was a part of a theatre company, In Yer Space while in school. They performed at the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. The show was awarded a prize to her for her show, and the production was received well. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two awards in 2007. She was nominated for two awards. British Soap Awards nominated her as best newcomer. The National Television Awards, she was also nominated as the most popular newcomer. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female and Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman was the replacement for Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role of Matt Smith. Moffat chose her for the role due to her ability to work well with Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her work in the field since 1987. She has been part of numerous films and TV projects. But, she's more popular for her television projects rather than movies. Eva has had many TV parts, however her roles as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children' and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. It was the former that brought her two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to show off her artistic side through music. Eva is, along with acting as an actress, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva has three husbands, and a child from the second.
