
Carrie-Anne Moss, born August 21, 1967[1], is a Canadian actor from Canada. In the early days of her television career was her breakthrough role, she gained acclaim for her part in The Matrix series (1999 to the present). Memento (2000) was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Supporting Role, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting Part. Jessica Jones (2015) to 2019 was her most recent TV show. She also was Jeri Hogarth. While living in Spain, Moss obtained a part in the role of Tara clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first TV appearance. In the course of the show, she made the move from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss left Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn in the role of Samantha Collins. After her return to the America, she enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model and starred in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap show. The show was cancelled July 1995. Matrix was a short-lived made in Canada show. She was a frequent guest on TV series such as Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. Three years later, she received a Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest actor in Drama. Her film credits included numerous B films like Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
